In this video, Tony Hawk breaks down the Acid Drop with the help of Mike Vallely. An Acid drop is riding and dropping of something like a ledge or otherwise with no ollie. Beginners usually learn to Acid Drop from curbs and often work their way up to bigger and bigger drops. This is the perfect way to practice big drops without worrying about popping an ollie. From that point, skaters can start incorporating tricks like ollies, kickflips, and beyond. Acid Drops are super common in street skating, or skating at a skatepark plaza. It is important to remember to lift up or manual before Acid Dropping to avoid nose diving into the ground. Otherwise, drop away!
